Lower Dean River | Summer Steelhead & Salmon

Kimsquit Bay Lodge

A dream trip on the crown jewel of British Columbia’s summer steelhead rivers at the newly-acquired Kimsquit Bay Lodge. You'll have six-plus days chasing the Dean’s legendary fish on the lower reaches of the river, targeting summer steelhead literally moments from the saltwater of Dean Channel. With any luck you'll find out just how the "Instant Backing" run got its name. • • • Early season offers the chance to connect the Dean's famous, hard-fighting Chinook (king) salmon. • • • Though ownership and staff has recently changed, guests can expect the same excellent experience and warm hospitality, all with a stunning view of Dean Channel and Grantham falls within earshot. • • • There is only one Dean River and every sea-run angler owes it to him or herself to fish it at least once!
